This summer, the Carzelle team traded the office for running shoes and joined DHL Stafetten Aarhus for the first time.
With part of the team taking on the course and the rest taking their supporting role very seriously, it turned into a great evening together outside the usual day-to-day routine. Some brought the speed. Others brought the volume from the sidelines. Both were equally important, obviously.
DHL Stafetten has been a long-standing Aarhus tradition for decades, bringing together thousands of employees from companies across the region for several evenings of running, walking and socialising in Mindeparken. For us, though, the evening was less about results and more about spending time together as a team.
The weather was on our side, the runners made it around the course, and the cheering section made sure nobody was short on encouragement. It was a good opportunity to step away from cars, logistics, emails and the usual working day and simply enjoy an evening together.
And with park as the backdrop, sunshine throughout the evening and thousands of other teams creating the atmosphere around us, we could hardly have picked a better year for our first attempt.
Once the running was done, there was time for food, conversations and a chance to enjoy the rest of the evening together. The night finished with fireworks – a pretty solid ending to Carzelle’s first DHL Stafetten.
Just a few kilometres, plenty of cheering and a very good evening with the team. Our first one is officially in the books. Something tells us it probably won’t be the last.
Carzelle joined DHL Stafetten Aarhus for the first time, taking part in one of the city’s long-standing summer traditions. With perfect weather, a running team on the course, plenty of support from the sidelines and fireworks to finish the evening, it was a first participation we’re unlikely to forget or leave as a one-off.
